On March 9th, 2024, the TPRM-With-Yedhu WhatsApp Group orchestrated yet another successful gathering, hosting the 4th TPRM Roundtable – the second installment in 2024. The virtual space came alive with the presence of 40+ dedicated Third Party Risk Practitioners hailing from India, UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UK, and Australia, who actively engaged in a profound 120-minute discussion.
Initiating the proceedings, Yedhu Krishna Menon, the founder of the “TPRM-With-Yedhu Group: A group meant for TPRM Community Development,” set the stage for an event that went beyond dialogue to drive tangible progress within the TPRM community. Yedhu shared insights on the imperative need for community development, outlining the formation of a dedicated hashtag#team poised to work collaboratively towards advancing TPRM practices. He also unveiled the launch of a post-roundtable quiz series and announced participation certificates for all attendees, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
The event showcased an inspiring lineup of distinguished speakers:
1. Vikas Goyal 2.O : VP – IT Security, FIS Global, delivered a compelling talk on “Fostering Third Party Resilience: Crafting a Robust Risk Culture Starts at the Top.” Vikas shared practical instances highlighting the importance of TPRM and how practitioners can play a pivotal role in securing management’s commitment to TPRM development within an organization.
2. Sammy Faidy : Head of Network Strategy, S&P Global – KY3P , joined the discussion from Australia, providing valuable insights in his presentation, “Navigating Outsourcing Regulations: Insights and Strategies from the CBUAE.” Sammy not only shed light on KY3P’s offerings as a flexible TPRM platform but also delved into the intricacies of navigating outsourcing regulations.
3. Georgie Kurien : CISO and Head of Cyber Assurance Practice, SecnSure addressed the audience on “Common Pitfalls in Third-Party Risk Management and the Regulatory Implications.” Georgie shared real-time challenges faced by organizations in managing TPRM programs, gaps observed in majority of the service providers, and provided insights into regulatory implications.
The roundtable, served as a testament to the growing interest and commitment of practitioners worldwide in advancing their TPRM knowledge.
